Soulstar is a UK dance artist and producer from the North East, previously known as Onyx UK and also recording as WALTZ. A UK garage-inspired soundsmith, he is known for distinctive synth design and high-energy rhythms, and works heavily in dub edits and free downloads alongside label releases. His records have come out on Southpoint, Spira Records and Garage Shared, including the Diva EP with TINY Vocals, Startrax Vol. 1, Soulstice Vol. 1 and collaborations with Waterbird. He was featured by BBC Introducing for York and Humberside and recorded a BBC Introducing Minimix in 2025, and has played Beaverworks in Leeds, The Croft in Bristol and Lakota, as well as a Cardiff debut. He is associated with Housekeeping.
